Re: New Gig Thread

Re: Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series Vol. 8 to be released on Oct. 7

Just noticed that the 3xCD edition is £89.98 on Amazon (play have it for £99.99). That's £77 for the 3rd CD, and some pictures! Few can/will stump up for that, so download (a.k.a. theft) will be v. common.

In these circumstances, who is the pirate?

Statements overheard in a Newcastle office today: "Wise is just a hate figure, probably never been to St James' Park, and he wouldn't dare travel North now" "50000 fans, each not spending their usual £10 on pies & Bovril & beer, is a half million loss. He can't afford many mor...

What I was wondering, and couldn't easily find on a quick google search was whether there's a credit to the original or whether Macca has a court case, not that he needs any more. When is a borrow a steal? Well, legend has it that Macca got it from Humphrey Lyttleton's Bad Penny Blues so he'd be v....

Yup, by turns it's funny, harrowing and heartwarming. I think 'comics' can sometimes get strong ideas and heavy issues across much better than prose.

Did anyone notice Mr Linneker refer to Spain as "The biennial under-achievers" ? This might well have been clever word play, which is not something you'd expect in a Sports presenter.
